Background

ALG Strategy was founded by Burhan Al-Gailani in 2022.

I’m a senior public and corporate affairs strategist with 18+ years of experience, who has worked at three leading London-based agencies, APCO Worldwide, Brands2Life, and Good Relations.

I work with clients on a fractional or consultancy basis to understand and proactively shape their operating environment through effective stakeholder and policy advocacy.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with ambitious clients at the leading edge of technological, social and regulatory change. Global enterprises, start-ups, scaling businesses, and third sector organisations, who are building the future in the UK.

They know that Britain has many of the ingredients needed to succeed in the 21st century. Great talent. A deep science and research base. A culture of entrepreneurship. And strong global networks and outlook. 

They are building a more innovative, prosperous, productive, and entrepreneurial future for the UK and all its citizens. 

More than ever, their ideas and endeavour are needed to overcome the geopolitical shocks and stagnant economic growth that have held Britain back over the past two decades.

But all too often our politics, institutions and systems struggle to keep up. Regulation and policy are outdated or not fit for purpose. And leaders may lack the understanding of current and future trends, or be prone to short-term, populist or reactionary forces.

I founded ALG Strategy Consultants to overcome these barriers. 

We help clients understand and shape their operating environment through informed decision making, and by enabling them to connect and build better dialogues with the stakeholders and opinion formers that matter.
